1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally enforceable contract between you and Chai AI (https://eng-chaiai.com/). By registering an account, initializing an inference stream, submitting prompts, or deploying custom persona configurations, you affirm that you have read, comprehended, and agreed to be bound by these provisions.

2. User Eligibility & Minimum Age Requirements

The Chai AI platform is engineered for adult creative storytelling and responsible conversational roleplay. You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to open an account or interact with our neural models. By accessing our services, you represent and warrant that you satisfy these requirements.

3. Accounts, Authentication & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication credentials. Chai AI utilizes Argon2id password hashing and TLS 1.3 encryption. Any actions performed using your authenticated session token shall be deemed your lawful authorization. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or security breach.

4. Acceptable Use & Conduct Prohibitions

While Chai AI champions creative freedom and expressive roleplay, the following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate session termination, bot bans, or permanent account forfeiture:

• Exploitation & Harm: Prompting, configuring, or sharing bots that depict, facilitate, or promote non-consensual violence, self-harm, or child exploitation in any form.
• Impersonation of Living Persons: Designing public bots that impersonate real-world private figures with intent to defame, harass, or defraud.
• Automated Abuse & Scraping: Deploying headless scrapers, distributed denial-of-service vectors, or automated crawlers that bypass rate limits or compromise inference clusters.
• Reverse Engineering: Decompiling proprietary token-routing matrices, extraction of model weights, or unauthorized access to our distributed edge infrastructure.

5. Bot Ownership, Creative Submissions & Licensing

You retain ownership of the original text, lore descriptions, and creative prompts you write when crafting a custom bot on Chai AI. When you elect to publish a bot to the public directory:

You grant Chai AI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, execute neural inference over, and distribute your persona configuration to community members across our network. If you designate a bot as "Private", its prompt parameters are restricted solely to your authenticated account.

6. Neural Model Outputs & Disclaimer of Reliance

All conversational responses on Chai AI are procedurally generated by machine learning models. Personas are fictional software constructs and do not represent actual humans, medical clinicians, legal attorneys, or certified financial advisors. 7. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases & Refunds

While free access is provided on Chai AI, optional paid tiers (such as Chai Ultra VIP) grant queue priority and access to higher-parameter models. Subscriptions renew automatically at the beginning of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to renewal through your account portal. Due to real-time GPU compute consumption, fees are non-refundable once inference cycles have been provisioned.

8. Governing Law & Mandatory Binding Arbitration

These Terms shall be construed under the laws of the United States without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms shall be resolved through individual, binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), waiving any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit.

9. Terms Modifications & Inquiries
